Use these exercises in a progression as a dynamic warm up sequence. Skills included are passing, dribbling, turning, and ball striking.

Touch and Pass

  • Control with inside of right foot. Pass with right foot to target.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot.

Equipment needed: Training Soccer Ball, Precision Goal 3', Playmaker Soccer Goal Set, Mini Cones.
Placement: Machine in Middle of Goal. Targets are Right or Left of Goal.
Suggested Speed: 2-4

One Touch Pass and Move

  • First time pass with right foot to left target. Move around cone and back to ball.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot.

Placement: Machine in Middle of Goal. Targets are Right or Left of Goal.

Touch Across Body & Pass

Partner 1-2 and Move

  • Touch inside of right foot. Pass to partner facing you, Move around cone, receive ball from partner. Pass with right foot to target.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot.

Placement: Machine in Middle of Goal. Targets are Right or Left of Goal.
Suggested Speed: 2-4

Partner 1-2, Move and Pass Opposite.

  • Touch inside of right foot. Pass to partner facing you, Move around cone, receive ball from partner. Pass with right foot to opposite side target.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot.

Placement: Machine in Middle of Goal. Targets are Right or Left of Goal.

Touch and Pass to Numbers/Teammates

  • Touch with inside of right foot. Listen for the name of your teammate or number of goal. Pass to selected target. Check back to receive next pass.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot.

Cone Dribble, Pass Opposite Side

  • Check toward pass. Control inside right foot. Dribble around set cones with right foot. Pass with right foot to opposite side target.

Move & Receive. Two Cone Dribble

  • Set two cones in front of player to right and one cone in behind to left. Start by moving around back cone come towards and receive pass. Dribble through two front cones and pass left.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot.

Placement: Machine in Middle of Goal. Targets are Right or Left of Goal.
Suggested Speed: 2-4

Touch Through, Turn & Pass

  • Set 4 cones out in a box shape. Player check away and then come towards to receive pass. First touch right foot from back of box to middle of box. Turn right to exit box and pass to front target with right foot.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot.

Placement: Machine in Middle of Goal. Targets are Right or Left of Goal.

Touch Through, Turn & Pass Opposite Side

  • Set 4 cones out in a box shape. Player check away and then come towards to receive pass. First touch right foot from back of box to middle of box. Turn right to exit box and pass to opposite side front target with right foot.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot.

Placement: Machine in Middle of Goal. Targets are Right or Left of Goal.

Touch Through, Turn & Pass Rear

  • Set 4 cones out in a box shape. Player check away and then come towards to receive pass. First touch right foot from back of box to middle of box. Turn right to exit box and pass to rear target with left foot.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot.

Placement: Machine in Middle of Goal. Targets are Right or Left of Goal.
Suggested Speed: 2-4

Touch Through, Turn & Pass Rear Opposite Side

  • Set 4 cones out in a box shape. Player check away and then come towards to receive pass. First touch right foot from back of box to middle of box. Turn right to exit box and pass to rear opposite side target with left foot.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot.

Placement: Machine in Middle of Goal. Targets are Right or Left of Goal.

1-2 Dribble & Pass

  • Set 3 cones in front of player to right. Set 1 cone back of player to right. Player check to back cone then toward ball to receive left foot. Play 1 -2 with teammate or coach then dribble through 3 cones and pass to target.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot, on the other side.

Equipment needed: Training Soccer Ball, Mini Cones.
Placement: Machine in Middle of Goal. Targets are Right or Left of Goal.
Suggested Speed: 2-4

1-2 Dribble & Pass Opposite Side

  • Set 3 cones in front of player to right. Set 1 cone back of player to right. Player check to back cone then toward ball to receive left foot. Play 1 -2 with teammate or coach then dribble through 3 cones and pass to opposite side target.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot, on the other side.

Placement: Machine in Middle of Goal. Targets are Right or Left of Goal.
Suggested Speed: 2-4

Dribble, 1-2 & Pass

  • Set 3 cones in front of player to right. Set 1 cone back of player to right. Player check to back cone then toward ball to receive left foot. Dribble through 3 cones then play 1-2 with teammate or coach. receive right and pass to target.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot, on the other side.

Suggested Speed: 2-4

Back Towards Goal, Turn, Dribble, Strike Opposite side Goal

  • Set 3 cones to player right. Check towards ball, right foot turn on touch to face goal, dribble through cones and set up right foot opposite side strike on goal.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot.

Receive, Beat Shadow Defender, Strike

  • Receive ball from mid area and face forward on touch, dribble to beat shadow defender then strike on goal right foot.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot.

Air control, 1-2 Dribble & Pass

  • Set 3 cones in front of player to right. Set 1 cone back of player to right. Player check to back cone then toward ball to receive left foot out of air. Play 1 -2 with teammate or coach then dribble through 3 cones and pass to target.

  • Repeat exercise with the opposite foot.

Two Touch and Pass

  • Control ground pass with inside of right foot. Pass with right foot to target. Control air pass with inside of right foot. Pass with right foot to target.

Air, Controlled Touch Across Body & Pass

a. Control out of air with inside of right foot. Pass across body to opposite side target.
b. Same with other foot.

Air, Touch Through, Turn & Pass

a. Set 4 cones out in a box shape. Player check away and then come towards to receive pass out of the air. First touch right foot from back of box to middle of box. Turn right to exit box and pass to front target with right foot.
b. Same with other foot.

Air control, 1-2 Dribble & Pass

a. Set 3 cones in front of player to right. Set 1 cone back of player to right. Player check to back cone then toward ball to receive left foot out of air. Play 1 -2 with teammate or coach then dribble through 3 cones and pass to target.
b. Same on the other side.

Back Foot Touch, Turn &  Front Foot Opposite Pass

a. Check off cone to left. Receive pass Back Foot (right).  Turn and pass across body with left foot to rear opposite side target.
b. Same on the other side.

Outside Foot Touch, Turn & Pass

a. Check off cone to left. Receive air pass outside foot right. Turn and pass with right foot to rear target.
b. Same on the other side.

Air, Touch & Strike

a. Check away, receive out of air right foot then strike right foot.

Air, Touch, Turn & Strike

a. Check away, receive out of air inside right foot, touch outside right foot away from middle then strike right foot.
b. Same with other foot.
